Eminem\u00a0honored\u00a050 Cent\u00a0during 50\u2019s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. The rapper-actor\u2019s star was added to the landmark on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOf all the things I don\u2019t remember about 2002, I have a very clear memory of the first time I met 50,\u201d Eminem said during his speech. \u201cOne of the first things I noticed when he walked into the room was his presence. It just kind of felt like he\u2019s going to be a star \u2026 He was the whole package.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eminem went on to discuss 50 Cent\u2019s music. \u201cAnd what\u2019s crazy about it to me is the charisma and the personality, everything matched the intensity of his music.\u201d He called 50 Cent\u2019s first album \u201cso classic,\u201d and mentioned 50\u2019s prolific output of mixtapes and how he and Dr. Dre walked away from the meeting impressed. \u201cIf it worked on us, it was going to work on the rest of the world and I\u2019m glad we trusted our instincts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m here today because he\u2019s not only a business partner to me, this is one of the best friends I\u2019ve known in the world,\u201d he continued. \u201cI would say it\u2019s much more fun to be his friend than it is to be his enemy, \u2019cause this guy is f\u2013king relentless. And he won\u2019t stop.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Detroit rapper noted many of 50 Cent\u2019s accomplishments \u2013 artist, entrepreneur, actor, director, producer \u2014 as well as recognized their friendship. \u201cHe pretty much does it all. And he\u2019s also helped me through a lot of hard times in my own life and he\u2019s always been there when I need him. So, 50, congrats on your star, man. Hollywood is making it official what I knew from the beginning and Dre knew from the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
50 Cent, in turn, thanked both Eminem and Dr. Dre, who was also in attendance, during his speech. \u201cI don\u2019t honestly think my career would\u2019ve been what it was without their support. Dre\u2019s a mentor for the whole squad, really, because he\u2019s been doing it for long before that and was able to guide us in ways without even knowing that he\u2019s doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
50 Cent\u2019s \u201cPower\u201d will air the last episode of its sixth and final season on Sunday. The 50 Cent-executive produced ABC drama \u201cFor Life\u201d will premiere on February 11th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
