The song earns the biggest week in terms of streams for a Latin song in 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bad Bunny<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Jhay Cortez<\/a>\u2019s \u201cDakiti\u201d debuts at No. 1 on the\u00a0Hot Latin Songs<\/a>\u00a0chart (dated Nov. 17). Their new collaboration is just the third song to debut atop the chart in 2020 and the seventh No. 1 of 2020 in total. It concurrently earns the biggest week in terms of streaming for a Latin song in 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking with Jhay is always a good experience,\u201d Bad Bunny tells\u00a0Billboard<\/em>. \u201cWe\u2019ve worked together on the remix of \u2018No Me Conoce,\u2019 which was a global hit, and the remix of \u2018Como Se Siente,\u2019 and people have always enjoyed our collaborations. In this case, it\u2019s the first time we were able to work together in the studio, unlike the other two songs that were done via phone. Sharing ideas in person is the key of the success of the song.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDakiti\u201d bows atop\u00a0Hot Latin Songs<\/a>, which blends airplay, digital sales and streams, mainly on the strength of streaming activity and downloads.<\/p>\n

Streaming Flies:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cDakiti\u201d earned 22.2 million streams in the week ending Nov. 5, according to Nielsen Music\/MRC Data, which yields a No. 3 debut on the overall\u00a0Streaming Songs<\/a>\u00a0chart and a No. 1 on\u00a0Latin Streaming Songs<\/a>. The song earns the biggest week for a Latin song in terms of streaming activity in 2020. What takes the runner-up slot? Well, his own \u201cSi Veo a Tu Mam\u00e1,\u201d which opened with 19 million streams on the March 14-dated list.<\/p>\n

\u201cDakiti\u201d concurrently sold 5,000 downloads in its first tracking week, prompting a No. 1 opening on\u00a0Latin Digital Song Sales<\/a>\u00a0and No. 12 on the all-genre\u00a0Digital Song Sales<\/a>\u00a0chart.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe creative process of this song was different than my previous works,\u201d Bad Bunny adds. \u201cI usually have a main idea for a song. For this one, though, Jhay composed the base, the initial rhythm and the main idea together with Mora. I then added to the evolution of the production, rhythm and lyrics with Tainy. It was a combined effort, which is unusual for me, but when one works as a team, great things come out. It\u2019s been like a drug, literally. Everyone has gone crazy over \u2018Dakiti.\u2019”<\/p>\n

\u201cDakiti\u201d is just the third title to open at No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs in 2020. Notably, all three have had Bad Bunny as a lead act. Prior to \u201cDakiti\u201d his own \u201cSi Veo a Tu Mam\u00e1\u201d and \u201cUn D\u00eda (One Day)\u201d with J Balvin, Dua Lipa and Tainy, both arrived at the penthouse on the March 14- and the Aug. 8-dated lists.<\/p>\n

As Bad Bunny clocks his sixth No. 1, Cortez captures his first No. 1 ever on a Billboard hybrid chart.<\/p>\n

As \u201cDakiti\u201d launches at No. 1 on the new\u00a0Global Exl. U.S.<\/a>\u00a0chart with 61.5 million streams and 1,000 downloads, both Bad Bunny and Cortez nab their first leader. The list ranks songs based on streaming and sales activity collected from more than 200 territories around the world, excluding the U.S.<\/p>\n

\u201cDakiti\u201d concurrently achieves a No. 9 showing on the all-genre\u00a0Billboard Hot 100<\/a>\u00a0chart. The song becomes just the second all-Spanish tune to debut in the list\u2019s top 10. The first was also a Bad Bunny tune (\u201cMIA,\u201d with Drake, arrived at No. 5\u00a0 in October 2018.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s such an honor that this song is the second song completely in Spanish to debut top 10 in the Hot 100 chart,\u201d Bad Bunny says. \u201cThe fact that the first song is also mine feels great. My dream was to record with Drake, it was an incredible experience, but this one is very special because it\u2019s a song that came out of nothing.
