With a coming update, you\u2019ll be able to choose from six shapes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Circle <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flower<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pill<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fill<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Square<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Star<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFill\u201d and \u201cSquare\u201d should be what we have today, while \u201cStar\u201d will undoubtedly be pointy and \u201cCircle\u201d quite straightforward. Meanwhile, \u201cPill\u201d takes after Google Clock\u2019s Digital and Stacked widgets. \u201cFlower\u201d should be the bulbous shape used by Google Keep and Drive for Quick Captures\/Actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFill\u201d and \u201cSquare\u201d should be what we have today, while \u201cStar\u201d will undoubtedly be pointy and \u201cCircle\u201d quite straightforward. Furthermore, holding down likely lets you change the shape after the fact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ironically, this ability to pick shapes comes after Android 12 removed the ability to customize app icons. With this upcoming update and the new version of Google Clock that\u2019s widely rolling out, all but one widget concept shown in the Material You teaser is fulfilled. It\u2019s unclear whether the YouTube Music \u201cturntable\u201d will ever spin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re seeing strings for different widget shapes in Google Photos with version 5.63. However, like the original rollout, a server-side update is required to enable.
