Jimmy Page has revealed that he\u2019s not only working on a new album but has \u201cmultiple projects\u201d in the works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere\u2019s various things I\u2019m working towards,\u201d said the former Led Zeppelin guitarist in a recent interview. \u201cIt\u2019s not just one thing. It\u2019s multiple things, and I don\u2019t want to even give a hint, because if you do you give a one-sentence sound bite, and then if it doesn\u2019t materialize, it\u2019s like \u2018Why didn\u2019t you do a solo album?\u2019 so I don\u2019t want to say what it is that I\u2019ve got planned, because I don\u2019t want to give people the chance to misinterpret it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Page, now 78, even admitted to turning down working on Ozzy Osbourne\u2019s new album, which also features Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When talking about his own new album, Page wouldn\u2019t reveal too many details and said he\u2019d like to leave it to everyone\u2019s imagination instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI really can\u2019t put on record what the new record is,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ll leave it to your imagination. The thing is there are so many ways I could present myself right now. Actually, not right now. I\u2019ll rephrase that: within a space of time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2020, Page said the pandemic reminded him of the importance of live performance and inspired him to return his focus to music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen we first went into lockdown I thought, \u2018Right, now\u2019s the time to start thinking about coming back at some point and being able to perform,\u2019\u201d\u00a0said Page. \u201cI will never be one of those people who\u2019ll record alone and send someone a file. I never went into music in the first place to do that\u2014it was for playing together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
