The car, which was first unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last September, was cruising around on city streets for a photo shoot when bystanders began snapping their own pics, Mercedes-Benz spokesperson Diedra Wylie told The Huffington Post.<\/p>\n<p>This image in particular was spread online via Reddit and Imgur:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ngradio.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/7HfAP5B.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-23283\" src=\"https:\/\/ngradio.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/7HfAP5B.jpg\" alt=\"7HfAP5B\" width=\"1024\" height=\"788\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ngradio.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/7HfAP5B.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ngradio.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/7HfAP5B-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other witnesses shared photos directly from their personal accounts:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\" data-cards=\"hidden\"><p>This driverless Mercedes cruising around SF blowing everyone&#8217;s mind <a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/W3fcySgknz\">pic.twitter.com\/W3fcySgknz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 aaronhoff (@aaronhoff) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/aaronhoff\/status\/574259628344676353\">March 7, 2015<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>The car was transported via trailer to photo shoot locations around San Francisco, but<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cars\/article\/Insane-Mercedes-self-driving-concept-car-spotted-6116761.php#photo-7610843\" target=\"_hplink\">locals reported seeing it drive on its own<\/a>, SFGate reports. It&#8217;s unclear if the vehicle was operated by a human driver or not. The car is not available commercially. If it does go into production, its particular specifications are uncertain.
