Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for \u201cMy Big Fat Greek Wedding 2<\/a>,\u201d which will open March 25 \u2014 14 years after the original debuted.<\/p>\n

Nia Vardalos<\/a> penned the script and returns as Toula Portokalos, who is married to John Corbett\u2019s Ian and dealing with a daughter, Paris (Elena Kampouris), failing to embrace Greek culture \u2014 even though she\u2019s surrounded by it.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeep your eyeballs open for a nice Greek so one day you can make babies,\u201d her grandfather Gus Portokalos (Michael Constantine) tells Paris.<\/p>\n

It turns out that Toula\u2019s parents were never legally married, which leads to another massive wedding.<\/p>\n

Kirk Jones (\u201cNanny McPhee\u201d) directed. The film is produced by Rita Wilson and Playtone partners Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman. Executive producers<\/a> are Paul Brooks, Scott Niemeyer, Steven Shareshian and Vardalos.<\/p>\n

The original film, starring Vardalos and Corbett, was a surprise success with $368 million in worldwide grosses. IFC distributed \u201cMy Big Fat Greek Wedding\u201d in the U.S., where it grossed $240 million.<\/p>\n
