You can see the amount of work that was put in by Kit. He moves like a dancer, and his fighting is just fantastic to watch. He\u2019s incredibly accomplished with a sword; he\u2019s a decent man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cIt kills me to say this. I hate complimenting other actors, but he\u2019s an absolute joy. A joy to work with,\u201d he added. \u201cHe\u2019s very subtle in his acting, I really like it. And the physical acting that he does is absolutely remarkable. If he doesn\u2019t, at the very least, get nominated for his work throughout the whole season, there is no God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Wow, dude. Then he comes across Shireen\u2019s ash pile. Did Davos ever get to take his shit?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">[<em>Laugh<\/em>] He may have taken a shit when he found the stag. I think it was best that that happened off camera. I know we push the edges of drama and jump over the line occasionally \u2014 the best drama does \u2014 but I don\u2019t think we\u2019ve yet sunk to the requirement of seeing me have to defecate. We haven\u2019t reached that low point. Maybe that\u2019s in Season 29.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>OK,\u00a0got it. Season 29 confirmed. But while we\u2019re on the subject of shit &#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">[<em>Laugh<\/em>] Which you brought up.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Which,\u00a0I\u00a0<em>absolutely<\/em>\u00a0brought up. I read an interview with director <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ew.com\/article\/2016\/06\/19\/game-thrones-battle-director\" target=\"_blank\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:5}}\">Miguel Sapochnik<\/a> where he said the horses shit at bad times during \u201cBattle of the Bastards.\u201d What was it like working with the horses?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Well, I do have to say, I\u2019m glad you prioritized this magnificent, very expensive episode talking about human and animal defecation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Always.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Oh yes, they always do. Horses are like that, and sometimes \u2014 you know what\u2019s extraordinary about horses? And mine was one of those, they can be incredibly professional. They can have their heads down, and when they hear the words \u201cturn over,\u201d their heads come up. If they\u2019re regularly used in drama, the ears go up, they start acting. And this is not once or twice I saw this. This is almost every take. They\u2019re absolutely remarkable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Speaking of which, have you ever seen horse work in any movie that matched that? It was extraordinary. I was gobsmacked looking at it. And the slow-mo stuff was amazing. My one criticism was I had to watch on a 42-inch TV. Even though I had good sound, this thing was screaming IMAX at me. It was cinematic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>And that scene where they charge at Kit, how much of that was practical?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Without getting too technical, that\u2019s a camera really, really way back on a long lens, which compressed perspective, so they were a very safe distance from him. But, all through the magic of beautiful filmmaking. His demise is going to happen, and they\u2019re approaching him, only when the horses met them, that clash was absolutely extraordinary. I just have never seen on film or television the kind of shots we saw on this show.<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"giphy-embed\" src=\"\/\/giphy.com\/embed\/3oEjHBIbFyNMEUTgHe\" width=\"480\" height=\"269\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/game-of-thrones-3oEjHBIbFyNMEUTgHe\">via GIPHY<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"content-list-component embed-asset\"><strong>When Davos finds the stag he gave Shireen, what\u2019s going through his head? Where does he go from there?<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"content-list-component text\">\n<p class=\"p1\">It\u2019s a game changer, him finding that. He\u2019s put two and two together. He knows what Melisandre\u2019s done. He knows she\u2019s been burning people, most of it off screen, since Season 2 after The Battle of Blackwater. He knows that\u2019s part of her M.O. But we have a little bit of unfinished business to take care of, and that will reveal itself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Have we finally seen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/game-of-thrones-jon-snow-secret_us_56e94a72e4b0b25c9183e322\" data-beacon=\"{&quot;p&quot;:{&quot;mnid&quot;:&quot;entry_text&quot;,&quot;lnid&quot;:&quot;citation&quot;,&quot;mpid&quot;:6}}\">the secret George R.R. There\u2019s been a number of people trying to squeeze that puppy out of me. Even if I said, \u201cYes, it has revealed itself,\u201d I still wouldn\u2019t tell you what it was. I\u2019ll save it for my memoirs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>\u201cThe Battle of the Bastards\u201d was huge, but now what can we expect from the finale?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Listen, we\u2019re not going to top what we did in [Episode 9] in action and digital quality. I mean, a huge change is coming. We\u2019ve seen what happened with Daenerys and Yara and Theon. We\u2019ve watched that take shape. There\u2019s so many stories going on in this. In a sense, the Winterfell story has now ceased to be as scary as it has been. I think what we\u2019ve got coming up is a big story, perhaps with the Lannisters, for the end of this. Cersei is in a very difficult position. We\u2019ve got all that to look forward to.
