I always hoped one day that the Bee Gees would be with Columbia or indeed Sony so, it\u2019s a great joy for me to start again this way with such great people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gibb\u00a0released his first solo album in 1984, although along the way he had a few false starts at other solo projects. The <a href=\"https:\/\/rockhall.com\/inductees\/the-bee-gees\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hall of Fame inducted<\/a>\u00a0singer\u00a0also produced and wrote music for other artists including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/280667\/barbra-streisand\/chart\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Barbra Streisand<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/301080\/dolly-parton\/chart\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Dolly Parton<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/300972\/dionne-warwick\/chart\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Dionne Warwick<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But Gibb\u00a0is most renowned for his work with the Bee Gees, which have sold tens of millions of albums, most of which were released through Polydor and Atco. Nielsen Music alone, credit the band with 10.3 million album scans and 6.5 million track scans since its inception in 1991. \u201cI will never forget my brothers, they will always be a part of everything I do,\u201d Gibb\u00a0said in a statement.
