The alleged Samsung Galaxy S8 could be officially released on February 26, according to the latest rumor.<\/p>\n
A February release date for Samsung’s next Galaxy S device wouldn’t be unprecedented. Both the Galaxy S7 and s6 were revealed at Mobile World Congress earlier this year<\/a> and in 2015<\/a>, respectively. To be clear however, Samsung has yet to confirm any details about the S8’s reveal, but if this trend continues, we should expect to see the new Galaxy S unveiled during the next conference<\/a> at the end of February 2017.<\/p>\n However, this goes against previous speculation<\/a> that Samsung would reveal the device early due to the Note 7 recall. For the past week, Samsung has been dealing with a recall that just wont end. After a Note 7 first exploded in September, the company quickly pulled units<\/a> from store shelves and began replacing them for customers. However, reports have surfaced that even the replacement headsets are exploding<\/a>. To make matters worse, major retailers and carriers are discontinuing sales of all Note 7 devices<\/a>. Despite the fact that Ricciolo states his claim has been “confirmed,” it should still be regarded as a rumor. Additionally, the image attached does not seem to be an official MWC graphic and has Ricciolo’s Twitter handle in the corner.<\/p>\n In the absence of any official word by Samsung, the Galaxy S8 (assuming it is even called the “S8”) rumors are flowing steadily.
