{"id":61115,"date":"2017-03-22T10:30:07","date_gmt":"2017-03-22T08:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ngradio.gr\/?p=61115\/"},"modified":"2017-03-21T23:58:43","modified_gmt":"2017-03-21T21:58:43","slug":"robert-downey-jr-star-voyage-doctor-dolittle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ngradio.gr\/en\/news-el\/entertainment\/robert-downey-jr-star-voyage-doctor-dolittle\/","title":{"rendered":"Robert Downey Jr. to star in &#8216;The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Robert Downey Jr. has signed on to star in <em>The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle<\/em>, based on the character from the 1920s children&#8217;s books by Hugh Lofting.<\/p>\n<p>The film, according to The Hollywood Reporter, was secured by Universal after a bidding war took place between multiple studios.<\/p>\n<p>Downey is stepping into the title role in the film which will see the actor communicate with animals.<\/p>\n<p>Set to be directed by Stephen Gaghan (<em>Syriana<\/em>), the project is based on a script he wrote from an earlier draft penned by Tom Shepherd.<\/p>\n<p>Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are producing alongside Downey&#8217;s wife Susan Downey.<\/p>\n<p>Doctor Dolittle was first seen onscreen in 1967&#8217;s <em>Doctor Dolittle<\/em> starring Rex Harrison.
