And one critic thinks he knows what\u2019s wrong with the DC Extended Universe\u2019s big fights.<\/p>\n<p>Critic\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCJkMlOu7faDgqh4PfzbpLdg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nerdwriter<\/a>, whose stuff is always worth watching, has a new video out where he considers why he thinks the fight scenes in the recent DC films\u2014he seems to particularly be considering\u00a0<em>Justice League\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Batman v. Superman\u00a0<\/em>here\u2014don\u2019t work. He talks about why and how these fights happen, diagnosing a few specific reasons he thinks they tend to fall flat.<\/p>\n<div class=\"js_ad-dynamic\">\u00a0This might be one of my rare moments of disagreement, actually. I tend to barely remember the fight scenes in most MCU movies\u2014they\u2019re a blur of one-liners and escalating stakes\u2014while the fights are some of the\u00a0<em>only<\/em>things I remember about the DC movie fights. They\u2019re nasty; people are mad and they\u2019ve got things to prove. You know what people want in those fights.
