While Malek\u2019s performance of Mercury will likely make or break this movie, he needed an assist for Mercury\u2019s singing vocals. That\u2019s why singer Marc Martel was hired to lend his voice to the movie\u2019s music, in conjunction with Malek\u2019s voice and Queen\u2019s original recordings. Earlier this week,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/BeAmazed\/comments\/97fx0u\/this_dude_auditioned_for_bohemian_rhapsody_and\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fans on Reddit<\/a>\u00a0gushed about Martel\u2019s impersonation of Mercury and it\u2019s currently blowing up on that site.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"The Queen Extravaganza - Under Pressure (Live at Montreux 2016)\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ptr3-ThAXAw?start=216&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Martel\u2019s talent may a be surprise for casual fans, but it\u2019s no secret in the music industry. Martel was discovered years ago, and he was one of the lead performers on The Queen Experience, a Queen tribute band. Martel\u2019s ability to sing like Mercury has also given him a fan following, but he credited \u201cgenetics\u201d for his voice during the following video in which he explained how to sing like Mercury.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Queen Extravaganza - Marc Martel - How To Sing Like Freddie Mercury\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GQ0H7tZ_tZs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to Martel, recapturing Mercury\u2019s performance is about more than just mimicking his voice.
