Kendrick Lamar<\/a>,\u00a0Drake<\/a>, and\u00a0Childish Gambino<\/a>\u00a0all turned down performance slots at\u00a0this year\u2019s Grammy Awards<\/a>, show producer Ken Ehrlich told\u00a0The New York Times<\/a><\/em>. The artists\u2019 respective representatives also \u201cdeclined to comment on whether they would attend the show.\u201d Pitchfork has reached out to reps for Kendrick, Drake, Childish Gambino, and the Grammys for more information.<\/p>\n According to\u00a0Variety<\/a><\/em>, Ariana Grande has also turned down a performance slot because she was reportedly \u201cinsulted\u201d after producers did not want her to perform her new single \u201c7 rings<\/a>.\u201d A source told\u00a0CNN<\/a>, \u201cThe producers were dictating what songs she could sing.\u201d Pitchfork has contacted representatives for Ariana Grande.<\/p>\n Kendrick is up for\u00a0eight Grammys in total this year<\/a>, including Record of the Year (\u201cAll the Stars\u201d with SZA), Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Gambino is up for five awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year (\u201cThis Is America\u201d.\u00a0Kendrick Lamar<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Childish Gambino<\/a>\u00a0both performed at last year\u2019s Grammys.<\/p>\n Drake has seven nominations this year. He\u00a0did not submit his playlist\u00a0More Life<\/em>\u00a0for Grammy consideration last year<\/a>.
