James Corden and actor Riz Ahmed squared off in a hilarious rap battle on Monday night.
The Late Late Show host and HBO star didn’t mince words in the Drop The Mic segment.
Riz, who moonlights as a rapper, has appeared on HBO’s Girls and The Night Of — and the programs weren’t spared in the comedian’s digs.

‘That wasn’t nice!’ James Corden and actor Riz Ahmed trade insults in the Drop The Mic rap battle on the Late Late Show on Monday
The entertainers had dramatic entrances that were announced by an emcee like a boxing match.
‘Am I supposed to be afraid of Riz because he raps?’ James began. ‘His lyrics lack depth just like when he acts. You might recognize him from some TV shows or not at all if you don’t pay for HBO. On Girls this season he taught Lena [Dunham] how to surf. But you’re drowning tonight, Riz, ‘cuz you’re on my turf.’
The comedian threw in a line straight from the headlines — the horrifying United Airlines video that caught worldwide attention after a passenger was left bloodied when he was ejected from his seat on the airline’s overbooked flight.
‘This is a blood bath it’s not a fair fight it’s like you were overbooked on a United Air flight,’ James added.
‘That wasn’t very nice,’ Riz quipped before hurling cutting lyrics of his own.
‘I speak the truth you’re a liar… He’s like Sean Spicer mixed with a singing Uber driver,’ he said, poking fun at the host’s popular Carpool Karaoke segments.
‘James and I are from the same place on the map, that’s how I know he just stole Graham Norton’s act,’ he said, comparing James to another British late-night host.
