NGradio So good... like you
We’ve been pumped to see Bohemian Rhapsody ever since the first trailer for the slick-looking Queen biopic starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury was released back in May.
On Tuesday, a new trailer dropped showing the band working on their two biggest hits: the Wayne’s World-approved mega ballad “Bohemian Rhapsody” and the ultimate sports arena singalong, “We Will Rock You.”
While a mustachioed Malek once again expertly channels Queen’s preening frontman, other band members get more airtime than they did in the last trailer.
Guitarist Brian May (Gwilym Lee) is seen debuting the the stomp-stomp-clap beat of “We Will Rock You” for the band, saying that he wants to “give the audience a song they can perform.”
In another scene, drummer Roger Taylor (Ben Hardy) gets frustrated while tracking the operatic “Galileo” parts of “Bohemian Rhapsody”, prompting Mercury to jokingly crack: “Roger, there’s only room for one hysterical queen.”
The movie, which hits theaters November 2, spans Queen’s rise in the 1970s through their epic set at 1985’s Live Aid, six years before Mercury died of complications from AIDS.
