Bon Jovi is back on charts all around the world with their new album Forever. The rock band released their first full-length in four years a little more than a week ago, and now it’s become their loftiest placement on one important tally in nearly a decade.

Forever launches at No. 3 on the U.K. albums chart. The set is now Bon Jovi’s best placement on the ranking of the most-consumed full-length in the country in nine years.

The last time Bon Jovi scored an even higher start on the same list was back in 2015. That year, their Burning Bridges release rocketed to No. 3.

Between Burning Bridges and Forever, Bon Jovi released two proper studio albums. Both This House Is Not For Sale and 2020 peaked at No. 5 in the U.K.

Bon Jovi has accrued 18 top 10 albums in the U.K. throughout the decades they’ve been together. Somehow, they have never earned a No. 1 title, though several of their projects have missed out on reaching the summit by one space.

Forever is the second-loftiest debut on this week’s U.K. albums chart. Just one space above Bon Jovi comes Charli XCX, who nearly conquered the list for the first time. Her new release Brat starts in the runner-up rung, coming in behind Taylor Swift’s unbeatable The Tortured Poets Department at No. 1.

As Forever opens at No. 3, Bon Jovi claims a pair of spots on the U.K. albums tally. Their Greatest Hits compilation slides down from No. 68 to No. 94 on the list this time around. That set has only spent seven frames on the roster, and most instances of the title finding space on the roster have been very recent.
