Drew Barrymore could be eyeing a bigger TV return than first considered.
The actress, who next narrates NBC’s unscripted First Dates series for Warner Bros. Television, is considering hosting a daytime talk show for the studio, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
As first reported by Variety, Barrymore has been in discussions to develop a talk show for WBTV. No deal is in place. WBTV declined comment.
The move would come as the next TV gig for the actress. Beyond NBC’s First Dates — produced by Ellen DeGeneres’ WBTV-based A Very Good Production banner — Barrymore next stars in Netflix scripted comedy Santa Clarita Diet.
Her recent TV gigs have included executive producing VH1’s Tough Love, Esquire’s Knife Fight and Blooms, ascripted drama in development at MTV.
On the feature side, Barrymore’s credits include Scream, Donnie Darko, Charlie’s Angels, The Wedding Singer and50 First Dates.
