Naomi Campbell to star on new reality series

Naomi Campbell has landed her own reality series.

The 44-year-old supermodel will star on new digital series I Am Naomi on Yahoo! Screen, the company’s streaming service. The show will follow Campbell in her daily life as she “spends time with the world’s most powerful and influential people.”

Campbell and Yahoo! Style editor-in-chief Joe Zee were on hand to announce the news at the company’s NewsFronts presentation Monday. The model shared a photo with Zee from the event, writing, “Gearing up for my Yahoo Style series.”

“I think there’s something so unpredictable and…spontaneous about her,” Zee subsequentlytold Fashionista. “But my favorite part about Naomi is that a lot of people don’t know how hysterical she is, full of bites. You’ve seen her on TV before and she’s always so funny and really engaging.”

“So many different people from different walks of life love her,” he related. “She was with Hillary Clinton the other night and she knows Oprah and Justin Bieber is obsessed with her. I thought, ‘Who else can get the cross section of people that Naomi can?'”

Campbell is known for her work with such designers as Gianni Versace, Isaac Mizrahi and Yves St. Laurent. The model currently serves as a judge on Oxygen reality competition The Face, and portrays Camilla Marks on Fox musical drama Empire.
