NGradio So good... like you
Gone With the Wind is a classic that seems to stand the test of time and this clip from various celebrities reenacting the 1939 award-winning film’s signature scene is a must-see.
W Magazine managed to rope in 29 actors and actresses to put on their best acting faces in a special casting call for Gone With The Wind. All of their performances are pretty spectacular as they try to get into character to recite the dramatic lines exchanged between Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh.
For those classless on this iconic scene, here’s a brief synopsis: Scarlett O’Hara (Leigh) is a Southern vixen in the midst of unrequited love. Rhett Butler (Gable) is a wealthy and rugged black sheep in the deep South who has his eyes set on Scarlett.
Fast forward through the Civil War and its aftermath, the two marry and endure several moments of tragedy until (spoiler alert) Rhett leaves her, delivering the iconic line, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn” as he walks out of her life.
Watch Cate Blanchett, Bryan Cranston, Kristen Wiig, Samuel L. Jackson among others, make this clip really hilarious.
