Nicolas Cage and Wife Alice Kim Are Separated, Rep Confirms

Nicolas Cage and his wife Alice Kim have been separated since January, the actor’s rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The couple, who would have celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary in August, share one son, Kal-el Coppola Cage, 10.

Cage, 52, met Kim, 32, in February 2004 when she served him while working as a waitress in a Los Angeles restaurant. They were engaged two months later before tying the knot on a ranch in Northern California.

This is Cage’s third marriage: He was wed to Lisa Marie Presley for almost four months in 2002 before filing for divorce, and, prior to that, to Patricia Arquette for five years.

Cage also has a 25-year-old son, Weston, from a relationship with model Christina Fulton.
