T-Mobile is offering a year of Paramount Plus to new and existing customers. This will include both T-Mobile and Sprint customers, and will apply for both for cell phone and home internet plans. Additionally, this deal will be available for existing Paramount Plus subscribers.
As of Tuesday, Nov. 9, T-Mobile and Sprint customers can visit the T-Mobile website to redeem a full year of Paramount Plus’ Essential plan. That’s the cheapest level, which does not include a local CBS broadcast station, but does include NFL and UEFA Champions League games (as well as ads). Note that the instructions are more complicated for existing Paramount Plus customers, particularly for those who bought an annual subscription or are on the Premium or (now discontinued) Limited Commercials plans — they’ll have to cancel their current package and re-subscribe to get the free one-year deal, per T-Mobile’s FAQ.
After one year, subscribers’ credit cards will automatically be charged the then-current monthly price for the Essential tier, which is $4.99 at the moment — so make sure to set a reminder to cancel ahead of time, if that’s what you want to do.
Paramount Plus launched on March 4 as a rebranded replacement for CBS All Access, and includes programming like A Quiet Place Part II, Star Trek: Prodigy, and the iCarly sequel series. BET, Nickelodeon, MTV, and Comedy Central all fall under the ViacomCBS banner, so TV shows from those channels are available on the service, along with live sporting events. Eventually, Paramount Plus will get a reimagined Criminal Minds series, along with a Grease prequel about the Pink Ladies and more from the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
