Will the sequel to the biggest movie of 2018 be the biggest movie in sequel history? The sky is the limit for the fourth Avengers movie when the epic from Disney’s Marvel Studios hits theaters on April 26 2019. And, with the film’s just-arrived trailer, it’s a good bet those skies will be filled with pitched battles of heroic sacrifice and cosmic consequence.

Watch the trailer above, and see the film’s newly released poster below. The new title of the film: Avengers: Endgame.

When last we left our Marvel superheroes their world had half-ended not with a bang but with a whimper. That was the grim situation at the climax of The Avengers: Infinity War, the biggest hit of 2018, thanks to the snap decision by Thanos (Josh Brolin) to erase half of the souls in existence, among them Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and many of his amazing friends.

The new film was directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the sibling tandem that began their Marvel Studios run with Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014, added Captain America: Civil War in 2016 and then escalated with Infinity War this past April.

The online release of the highly anticipated Avengers trailer comes four days after the high-profile premiere of an epic new Captain Marvel trailer during halftime of ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Marvel has three releases next year: Captain Marvel on March 8, the Avengers sequel on April 26 and Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5.

And here is the just-released poster
