Offered by an Actor’s Studio member, Mihaela M. Mihut , who had the privilege of being moderated by some of the greats including Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, Ellen Burstyn, Alec Baldwin, Estelle Parsons, Stephen Lang and Lee Grant as well as other artists as seen on Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio”and by Stratos Tzortzoglou a known, established actor and now a professional observer at the Actors Studio.
Stratos did his masterclasses in L.A with Ivanna Chubbuck (Brad Pitt ,Halle Berry ,Charlize Theron ,James Franco ,Sylvester Stallone) and with Aaron Speiser (Will Smith ,Jennifer Lopez ,Gerard Butler ,Marion Cotillard) who said about Stratos “In all my experience, I have never met an actor as dedicated and talented as Stratos”.
The class will have Stratos Tzortzoglou detailing the greatest lessons he’s learned through his momentous career—the struggles and successes that made him the household name he is today.“
Education has always been an important part of my life,” Stratos said in a statement.
“The teachers, mentors, and those who gave me opportunities along the way have made me feel blessed because they taught me the value of striving to be your best. I’m delighted to be part of this new wave of education.As my mentor Karolos Koun once said, ”We must believe in miracles, in order for miracles to happen.”

• Imagination, personalization, substitution: imagination is the basis for all that is new, fresh, young and original.
• Given circumstances: the author’s story: place, sensory elements, relationships, time period.

Using and practicing the preceding techniques can help the artists to achieve the “creative state” from which creative work can develop.

From Stanislavski to Strasberg…to you, this innovative workshop focuses on the artist’s personal journey. The artist’s instrument refers to the whole self, body and mind and all of the five senses, complete with emotions, thoughts, imagination, sensitivity, honesty, passion and awareness. You work towards recognizing the analogy between your personal history and the character you are developing.
It is a path of discovery to guide you as an artist, the actor, director and writer towards developing an inner technique that works individually in a professional collaborative way. In order for a script to be realized and the director’s vision to be satisfied, the actor’s work process must be understood and a common language needs to exist between the collaborators, the filmmaker, director and actor.
Without that common language, a gap will exist no matter how great the script is or how fantastic the director. Obtaining from actors their most amazing work is possible only if their process is understood in detail. When the directors and actors navigate together in a specific way, a delicate dance begins challenging one another to deliver their best work and to bring balance, energy and uniqueness to the project as the final result. Only then artistry can develop. Specificity is universal.
In taking dialogue from the page to the stage and silver screen, reflected in the powerful work of James Dean, Marlon Brando, Marilyn Monroe and other great ones, you will learn: relaxation, concentration, sense memory, magic, improvisation, objects, substitution, animal exercises, song & dance, private moments, speaking out, moment-to moment, justification, affective memory and given circumstances. These are all techniques we will explore. You will be introduced, encouraged, to the inner workings of the theater and film industry in the U.S. experience
STRATOS TZORTZOGLOU RESUME
Stratos Tzortzoglou appeared for the first time in Karolos Koun’ Sound of the Gun by Loula Anagnostaki at Karolos Koun Art Theater. Apart from Karolos Koun, he has worked on stage with famed Greek directors Minos Volanakis, Jules Dassin, Spyros Evangelatos, Roula Pateraki, Andreas Voutsinas and Giannis Kokkos. He has also worked in film with directors such as Theo Angelopoulos, Michael Cacoyannis and Pantelis Voulgaris, Nikos Panayotopoulos,Bruno Coppola, Eva Bergman,Christina Kallas,Dragan Bjelogrlic,Michel Favart and alongside actresses Catherine Deneuve, Irene Papas (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, Z, Electra), Lena Endre (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Sarah Douglas (Conan the Destroyer, Falcon Crest, Superman).
