“Little Emily, the Cherry Stalk and the Eraser Bombs”, the second e-book by internationally recognised Greek children’s writer Evgenios Trivizas, has won the prestigious Kidscreen Best eBook of the Year Award (2015) in the Digital Preschool Category.

In a highly anticipated presentation event in Miami (USA), hosted by renowned comedian Allana Harkin and exclusively sponsored by the Canada Media Fund, the global kids entertainment industry saluted the best work in children’s television and digital media at the annual Kidscreen Awards. Presented at the Kidscreen Summit on February 9, the Kidscreen Awards were determined by two panels of industry judges.

KidScreen is a leading international trade publication serving the informational needs and interests of kids entertainment professionals. Its annual awards are meant to single out and celebrate the year’s best work in kids television and digital media.

“Little Emily” was chosen as best e-book of the year in the pre-school category beating shortlisted finalists “Disney’s Story Central” (Disney Publishing Worldwide) and “My Little Poney” (Playdate Digital). Supporters or the writer say his feat is no small success, considering the thousands of e-books for children available on the world market.

“Little Emily”, an international production by Ever After Tales (an LA based e-book publisher and children’s app developer www.everaftertales.com), is a delightful tale about a father’s care and creativity that transports us to a colourful galaxy painted in shades of blue, silver and purple, filled with sunflower jungles and pink hippos. It is available at the iTunes Store and Google Play in Greek, English and Spanish.

Dr Trivizas has published many books on literature, and he is one of Greece’s leading writers for children. He has produced more than a hundred books, all of them currently in print, and he has received more than twenty national and international literary prizes and awards.
