If you’ve ever dreamed of starring in your own music video, you may be one step closer with this funky new website.

Called Face Melody, all you have to do is upload a photo of yourself and then it converts you into a full-blown masterpiece.

Now it sure isn’t glamorous enough to rival the Beyonces and Rihannas but it allows you to personally create your own unique piece of art work based entirely on your face.

Using your picture, facial recognition technology and some complicated algorithms, Face Melody produces a unique song based on the shape of your face.

It then accompanies the video with some pretty hypnotic music.

You’ll also get some ‘stats’ about your face such as your ‘Smile Level’, ‘Face Balance’, ‘Face Colour’ and ‘Lightness’ rating, which are all used to make the patterns in your song.

The company behind Face Melody is Japanese cosmetics group IPSA, who used the idea that every face has a name, story and its own song.

We tried out the feature in the office and it’s pretty trippy to say the least.
