‘Aquaman’ Trailer Is A Cleansing Flood For DC Films’ Post-‘Justice League’ Era

In what I would argue is a refreshing display of restraint, we are only now, exactly five months until its release, getting the first trailer for Warner Bros./Time Warner Inc.’s Aquaman. There has been a lot of talk over the years about how soon to start the marketing bandwagon for these big tentpole movies. It doesn’t help that several the movies that started late (Dark Shadows, Ghostbusters and Solo: A Star Wars Story come to […]

Henry Cavill on Justice League Snyder Cut: It Won’t Make a Difference

Justice League star Henry Cavill has shared his thoughts on Zack Snyder's mythical cut of the film as well as its relevance. Cavill is out currently promoting Mission: Impossible - Fallout, the movie that made it impossible for him to shave his mustache during the Justice Leaguereshoots. The mustache had to be digitally removed and it made Cavill's mouth look really weird in certain parts of the film. However, Cavill's mustache was the least of […]

Why Captain Marvel Is Set In The 90s, According To Kevin Feige

Period pieces have become more commonplace within the superhero movie genre in recent years. Every main X-Men movie since the 1960s-set First Class has jumped forward a decade, Captain America: The First Avenger was wisely set during World War II and Wonder Woman showed Diana stepping into man's world for the first time during World War I. Next year, we'll have Captain Marvel, which will wind the clock back to the 1990s to tell Carol Danvers' origin story. […]

New ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ trailer traces birth of queen’s biggest hits

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mP0VHJYFOAU We've been pumped to see Bohemian Rhapsody ever since the first trailer for the slick-looking Queen biopic starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury was released back in May. On Tuesday, a new trailer dropped showing the band working on their two biggest hits: the Wayne's World-approved mega ballad "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the ultimate sports arena singalong, "We Will Rock You." While a mustachioed Malek once again expertly channels Queen's preening frontman, other band members […]

New ‘Shazam’ Image and Details Reveal the Lighter Side of DC

Can Aquaman and Shazam save the DCEU? Maybe! The DC film universe over at Warner Bros. has been struggling lately, but the future looks bright. The films coming up, including Wonder Woman 1984, look to be dead set on bringing some light to the darkness. A new Shazam image has surfaced along with some new info about the upcoming film, and all signs point to a much more enjoyable DC superhero movie. I’m not overly familiar with Shazam the […]

A lost Stanley Kubrick screenplay has apparently been found

According to The Guardian, a professor at Bangor University named Nathan Abrams says he has found a lost Stanley Kubrick screenplay called Burning Secret, and it sounds pretty darn creepy. Abrams, who The Guardian says is a “leading Kubrick expert,” describes it as “the inverse of Lolita,” and it centers on a “suave and predatory man” who befriends a young boy in hopes of seducing the boy’s mother. It’s based on Stefan Zweig’s 1913 novella […]

Unearthed Justice League VFX Reel Hints at Snyder’s Darker Ending

It's no secret that Zack Snyder's version of Justice League would have been much darker than it ended up and now new VFX reels seemingly confirm this to be true. Zack Snyder famously left the project last year, after principal photography wrapped. Joss Whedon came on board to handle reshoots and the editing of the superhero team-up movie, which was torn apart by critics and fans, who have been crying to get Snyder's original […]

Marvel Studios Shuffles 2021 Release Calendar

Marvel Studios fans will get to see one superhero film in 2021 more than five months early, but the question is which one. Disney has moved an untitled Marvel movie from July 30, 2021, to Feb. 12, 2021. An untitled live-action Disney release will slip into that summer date instead. Once a relatively dead month for movies, except for the stray romance, February became prime territory for big-budget superhero features […]

Kevin Feige Reveals Why Tom Holland Leaked Spider-Man: Far From Home’s Title

Tom Holland is terrible at keeping secrets – you know it, I know it, and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige very much knows it, too. But while everyone’s favorite Web-Head has been guilty of posting spoiler-sensitive information in the past, it turns out Holland was given the green light to ‘leak’ Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s official title before the cameras started rolling in the United Kingdom. As Kevin Feige tells Birth.Movies.Death (h/t ComicBook.com), […]
