Netherlands-based songwriting duo ISLE has returned with their new single ‘Waters’. Similar to their previous offerings, the track leans on serene production and sweeping arrangements whilst maintaining the same unique sound they have displayed throughout their career. Their unique sound has led to support from tastemakers including Popmatters as well as support on Spotify’s ‘Rustig & Mooi’ and ‘A Shot of Indie’ playlists. 

Like the first signs of spring, ‘Waters’ filters a restless sense of wanderlust as frontwoman Lise Low captivates listeners with enchanting vocals and transportive atmospherics. ISLE’s poignant lyricism is marked with an ability to capture universal feelings, whilst also bearing a complexity that supersedes the standard tropes of folk and dark-pop. The track is steeped in strings, keys, and guitars as the duo’s personalities meet in harmony.
