NGradio So good... like you
BTS took to social media on Monday morning (Sept. 28) to announce that they’ll be joining Jason Derulo and Jawsh 685 on their upcoming “Savage Love (Laxed — Siren Beat)” remix.
“#SavageLoveRemix This Friday @Jawsh_685 x @jasonderulo x #BTS,” the K-pop idols captioned their video of the news, which features the three acts performing the track’s viral, arm-waving TikTok dance via split screen. (In the clip, numerous members of BTS are seen wearing face masks as they do their choreography.)
Produced by the New Zealand music producer, the dancehall-tinged hit was originally released back in June following a dispute over sample clearances and Derulo using the producer’s instrumental beat without permission in his version of the song. So far, their collaboration — which they unveiled as “Savage Love (Laxed — Siren Beat)” after working through the legal issues — has peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Meanwhile, BTS jumping on the remix comes on the heels of the news that they’ll be releasing their second LP of 2020, titled BE (Deluxe Edition), on Nov. 20. The album is expected to include their latest smash No. 1 hit “Dynamite” and follows February’s Map of the Soul: 7.
The “Savage Love (Laxed — Siren Beat)” remix is set to drop Friday (Oct. 2). Check out BTS, Derulo and Jawsh 685’s TikTok announcement below.
