Το σιτάρ είναι παραδοσιακό έγχορδο όργανο που κατάγεται από την Ινδία. Στη ροκ και ποπ μουσική από τη δεκαετία του ΄60, το συναντάμε σε τραγούδια γνωστά και άγνωστα, από τους κιθαρίστες των συγκροτημάτων που εκπαιδεύτηκαν πάνω σε αυτό.
