Ο καλλιτέχνης αναδείχτηκε σε νικητή της βραδιάς, καθώς απέσπασε τα βασικότερα βραβεία, όπως εκείνο του άλμπουμ της χρονιάς, του τραγουδιού, αλλά και του record of the year, για το “24k Magic”. Ο Mαρς απέσπασε επίσης το βραβείο του καλύτερου R’n’B άλμπουμ και του R’n’B τραγουδιού για το That’s What I Like, συμπληρώνοντας έτσι έξι διακρίσεις στην φετινή τελετή.

Kαλύτερη πρωτοεμφανιζόμενη καλλιτέχνιδα αναδείχθηκε η Αλίσια Κάρα, ενώ καλύτερο ραπ άλμπουμ αναδείχθηκε το DAMN του Κέντρικ Λαμάρ, καλύτερο ροκ άλμπουμ το A Deeper Understanding του συγκροτήματος The War on Drugs, καλύτερο ποπ άλμπουμ το Divide του Εντ Σίραν, καλύτερο άλμπουμ εναλλακτικής μουσικής το Sleep Well Beast του συγκροτήματος The National, καλύτερο άλμπουμ της μουσικής του κόσμου το Shaka Zulu Revisited: 30th Anniversary Celebration του νοτιοαφρικάνικου συγκροτήματος Ladysmith Black Mambazo, καλύτερο άλμπουμ ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής το 3-D The Catalogue του συγκροτήματος Kraftwerk, και καλύτερο μουσικό βίντεο αναδείχθηκε αυτό για το τραγούδι Humble του Κέντρικ Λαμάρ.
