Η Microsoft ολοκλήρωσε και επίσημα την εξαγορά της ZeniMax Media, μητρικής της Bethesda Softworks. Πλέον στο δυναμικό της Microsoft ανήκουν οι Bethesda Game Studios, id Software, ZeniMax Online Studios, Arkane Studios, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog Studios, Roundhouse Studios αλλά και πλήθος δημοφιλών IPs όπως το DOOM, το The Elder Scrolls, το Fallout και πολλά άλλα.
“Με την προσθήκη των ομάδων ανάπτυξης της Bethesda, οι gamers θα πρέπει να γνωρίζουν ότι οι κονσόλες Xbox, το PC και το Game Pass είναι οι καλύτερες πλατφόρμες για να βιώσει κάποιος τα νέα παιχνίδια της Bethesda, περιλαμβανομένων ορισμένων νέων τίτλων που θα είναι αποκλειστικά διαθέσιμοι σε Xbox και PC”, αναφέρει ο Phil Spencer σε δημοσίευση του Xbox Wire.
“Όπως έχουμε πει και στο παρελθόν, είναι ζωτικής σημασίας η Bethesda να συνεχίσει να δημιουργεί παιχνίδια με τον ίδιο τρόπο. Προσβλέπουμε στην ενδυνάμωση των ομάδων της Bethesda, προκειμένου να προσελκύσουμε ακόμα περισσότερους παίκτες ανά τον κόσμο, βοηθώντας να γίνουν τα παιχνίδια της Bethesda τα μεγαλύτερα και πιο δημοφιλή στη ιστορία της. Η Xbox και η Bethesda έχουν το ίδιο όραμα για το μέλλον του gaming. Τόσο ως fans όσο και ως δημιουργοί, οι άνθρωποι της Bethesda αντιλαμβάνονται τις δυνατότητες του Xbox Game Pass”, συμπλήρωσε ο Spencer.
Από την πλευρά της η Bethesda Softworks ανάρτησε επίσης ένα blog post και δημοσίευσε ένα video για να γιορτάσει τη μετακόμισή της στη Microsoft.
